Rashid

Ever since I started my learning career I have come to realize that with learning I can make it to be whoever person I have wished to be in future. Schools have enabled me overcome so many temptations in such a way that I came to know the benefits of studying. School has also given me direction to a better life since I have been putting a lot of concentration on the saying that goes that education is the key of life. School has also enabled me to know the dangers of being a school dropout. Through schooling I have gained so many things like knowledge on how to deal with personal issues, it has also enabled me to know advantages of becoming a better person in the society within. It has also changed my character from childhood to adulthood as they always say that one step can make you move from zero to hero, with this in mind I have always waited and eagerly waited to see if my dream comes true. In schools there are good and bad company so it was on to my self to decide what or where to belong but since I have my own set objectives I joined good company. My contract in school is to become a profession and with bad company I cannot make it so I distinguish myself from bad company. My set goal is that I have wished in my life to become profession in law. In all my learning career I have always liked or wished to become a lawyer in order to deal with law breakers since the community/ society around me there are some things that don’t impress me.

Dorine

It was on 5th March 2008 when I joined St. Charles Lwanga Secondary school. At first I had a problem with school fees but after sometimes, different social workers came in our school to guide us and counsel. I never lost hope looking for scholarship. It had really brought stress into my life. Up to date I have never got the scholarship but my principle understands the problem I am having. But at home also my parents are trying up and down to keep me in school. I am a very focused girl I want to make sure I get what I want in my life. And there is no way I can be what I want by not studying hard. I would like to work with any non governmental organization or to become a lawyer. And when I become I will set up an orphanage for children who are orphans mainly in slums. May be next year God willing I can get somebody who wish to help me to achieve my set goals. “LET GOD BE THE GLORY”

Collins

I am Collins Mutuka. I am fifteen years old. I am in standard seven. I joined this school in January 2008. Since that day that I joined this school I have benefited a lot. Being in this school I have learnt new things that I didn’t know when I came. I was just dormant, but know I have been brought up by my teacher who normally teaches us in and outside classes. It is good to continue learning in this school because it is assisting some children who don’t have money to buy their needs such as shoes, socks and paying the school fees. This project has assisted many people and sponsored them until they complete their school. I have been here at around nine months but I have not seen any problem. In classes we perform well. I am a footballer, we are about to close school, our teachers normally arrange the inter classes competition and the winning team is always given prizes and morale to continue and maintain their talents. When I finish my standard eight, I would like to join secondary school. After all my studies in high school I hope that I will pass my K.C.S.E with flying colours. So I would like to be a doctor.
